#4 Never Use words Against Yourself or Others

What estimable acts speak to you personally? We hold the power to elevate our own goodness and change into the person we want to become by changing our behavior. With a continued focus on ourselves, we do transform into men and women of personal integrity, and we will! (Please do the exercise on the next page ❤️ )

This is the single most damaging mistake we can do to ourselves emotionally. Because what we think transforms our actions! In moving closer to greater self-esteem, our mission is to not use demeaning hurtful, and negative words against ourselves. What we spew often reeks of old beliefs filled with the same untruths that we never go of oftentimes from childhood. The process we chose to use to carry them with us is called “Whispered Lies.” We still carry old and often hurtful messages we heard growing up in our homes, in our schools, and with others when we didn’t know any better and we thought them true of us. The famous motivational speaker Earle Nightengale* believes in his famous quote, “ We become what we think about .” Source “ The thoughts we allow into our brains every day shape our lives, and determine our future.” We are the living embodiment of a loving Creator and deserve to treat ourselves with respect and gentleness. We are, and we believe, in what we tell ourselves we are. #5 Listen to Your Authentic Self Before You Make Decisions For those of us in recovery, we hear much about using our minds and listening for an answer from our Divine. As we develop a stronger, more reliable self-esteem, we will begin to feel the confidence that comes from relying upon our intuition. One of our Ninth Step Promises reminds us, “ We will intuitively know what to do in situations that used to baffle us.”

#6 Become a Person of Integrity!

I've heard it said if we want to be estimable, then we have to do estimable acts that honour not just ourselves but others too. What baby-steps can you take today to begin growing closer to that person with integrity? Being honest with our intentions and actions is everything. This honesty may be the only visual the world gets to see of us, and decisions are made in an instant as to whether or not we meet the criteria. Integrity can be determined with three little questions: a. Is it honest? b. Is it necessary? c. Is it loving?
