Library Services The William M. Brish Library champions student success by connecting any and all members of the campus community with the resources they need, supporting their growth in critical thinking & information literacy, and welcoming them to accessible, functional, inspiring spaces both on campus and online. The physical library is located on the second floor of the Learning Resource Center in a recently-renovated space that features three small individual study rooms, three group study rooms, and two large quiet study rooms. The open areas offer soft furniture, booths, and study tables, all with ample access to power so students may plug in their mobile devices. Library collections include scholarly articles from more than 60 academic databases, 380,000 + e-books, 30,000 + streaming videos, a virtual reference collection, and approximately 5,000 books in print. Students have 24/7 remote access to librarians through a reference chat service, and a number of helpful resource guides and video tutorials are available at http://hagerstowncc.libguides.com. Librarians are happy to assist faculty with information literacy instruction, both in person and through the creation of digital tutorials. They may also be embedded in the online classroom per instructor request.
