Malgré un début de saison en dents de scie, les Vikings de Casselman occupent le deuxième rang de la division Martin de la CCHL2, malgré leurs deux dernières défaites. Le 14 novembre dernier, les Vikings affrontaient les Kings de Whitewater, et bien que les joueurs aient tout donné, cela n’aura pas suffit pour empêcher les Kings de s’enfuir avec la victoire. Il aura fallu attendre en deuxième période pour voir Casselman s’inscrire à la fiche de pointage en premier. D’ailleurs, les Vikings ont été les seuls à compter lors de cette période. De retour en troisième période, les Kings ont bombardé le gardien des Vikings et ont finalement trouvé la faille en inscrivant les deux buts qui leur donnaient la victoire dans un compte de 2-1. Le 16 novembre, ils ont rencontré les mêmes difficultés face aux Golden Knights d’Ottawa Ouest. Dès la première période, Ottawa prenait possession de la glace. Grâce à leurs deux buts sur Casselman, les joueurs ont retraité au vestiaire avec une avance de 2-0. Saint-Isidore goals Sunday night came from Jeremy Arbour and Sebastien Roy, with goal assists coming from Kevin Howson, Alexis Leclerc, and Patrick Ranger. Dawson Irving was in the net. Nicolas Castonguay scored two goals for Vankleek Hill, with fellow Cougars Nikolas Ayotte, Mathieu Cloutier, and Maxim Rozon popping in singles. Assisting on the goals were Rozon, Justin Chaumont, Vincent Huneault, Zack Labbé, Jonathan Lacroix, Jonathan Leblanc, and Joey Simoneau. Frederick Durocher-Bourdon warded the net. Scoring two points each for Gatineau were Jérémy Cardinal and Danny Plourde-Grenon. Single goals came from Yoan Charron, Dave Fréchette, and Hugo Lusignan. Assisting on the goals were Cardinal, Charron, Lusignan, Plourde-Grenon, Simon Juneau-Richer, Zakary Phaneuf, Mattias Roy, and Jérémy Trudeau. Marc Olivier-Bastien guarded the net. The Cougars host Morrisburg November then face the Castors Sunday.
