NUGENT USED INNOVATIVE METHODS TO PROVIDE THE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION FOR THE NEW QUEEN’S UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ UNION BUILDING… MEP CONTRACTOR

N UGENT provided the MEP One Elmwood. Mechanical included: LTHW heating, Logstor District Heating, chilled water system, domestic hot and cold-water systems, above ground drainage, supply and extract ventilation systems, kitchen extract odour abatement systems, DX and VRF AC, BEMS system and fire protection system – dry riser. installation and BIM Level 2 and services coordination for QUB’s Electrical included: LV main switch board, general containment and distribution, general and emergency lighting, lighting control system, data and communications cabling, PV panel installation (46no.), hearing loop /

infrared heating assistance system and electrical services associated with mechanical. Multiple services were installed and networked to QUB central security including; disabled toilet alarm and refuge alarm, fire alarm, intruder alarm, IP CCTV and access control systems. To reduce carbon footprint, waste and time on the project, NUGENT’s OSM team at their Pomeroy HQ designed, planned, manufactured, pre-assembled, tested and commissioned the units prior to arriving on site. Operations Director, Richard Gilmour commented, “As a company we are privileged to deliver our MEP services for the iconic building.”
