RICS President Clement Lau FRICS visits RICS UK Project of the Year, Erne Campus.

R RICS President Clement Lau saw first many of the impressive initiatives that have been put in place to reduce South West College’s impact on the environment during his visit to Enniskillen. The £34m D+B scheme, delivered by principal contractor, Tracey Bros., won RICS Project of the Year title and is the world’s first

energy costs for the college. Describing the campus “stunning” Clement praised the dedication and commitment to deliver a net zero carbon building. “This is a very good showcase to prove to our peers that we can do

I’m sure that in the future they will do much better than us, but at least we can provide them the solid foundation. They can build on the expertise or knowledge we have about these kinds of issues to develop a more environmentally friendly approach in the longer run. “We can either do this through the traditional education route, or offer other kinds of venues and channels, for example, through apprenticeship on job training.
