M anaging health in an ageing workforce was the The well-attended event heard from experts in the fields of health and safety and HR who discussed issues such as health assessments for the older workforce and manual handling/ musculoskeletal management. There was also a Menopause Briefing for Businesses to discuss the health needs of the industry’s female employees. BuildHealth NI is a joint venture between the construction industry in Northern Ireland and the country’s health and safety executive (HSENI) to improve the occupational health and safety of the workforce in the sector. The conference took place in association with the Northern Ireland Branch of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
