It might just help us win someone over at the end,” added Director Jason McQuaid. “Electrical is always going to be our primary element, but we have the option of providing the mechanical installation in projects that suit us.” It is still early days for the new division, but there are expansion plans. “In the long term, we intend to get closer to the electrical side of the business in terms of growth and size, but we will move at a pace that works for us,” Ciaran commented. Braham Group has provided both electrical and mechanical installations for several prestigious projects, including the Translink Train Station in Portrush, the Belfast Transport Hub, and Warrenpoint Credit Union building. A NEW VISION In the past few years, with operations at full steam on both sides of the border, and expanding beyond electrical services and wholesale, it was time also for the Braham brand to evolve. After a six- month process, the company launched their new image and logo under the
name of Braham Group to reflect their whole portfolio of services: Electrical Contracting, Mechanical Contracting and Street and Floodlighting.

The company has started its expansion into EV charging with the Translink EV Superchargers project. The first phase of the job provided the launch of Translink’s new scheme to install EV chargers across all its bus stations and maintenance facilities in Northern Ireland. The first two sites were the Milewater Service Station and the Short Strand Bus Station, and over 50 superchargers were installed. The second phase of the project will mirror the first one, with new supercharger installations at Coleraine and Pennyburn (Derry) Bus Depots. Braham Group’s projects for the near future also include transport, residential, commercial, and educational endeavours, such as Yorkgate Train Station in Belfast, Sprucefield Retail Park in Lisburn, Dundalk Institute of Technology and Dublin City Age Friendly Housing with Support in Inchicore.
After 18 years using the Braham Electrical logo, the whole team
contributed ideas for the company’s “facelift”. “The branding company gave us a few options, and we got input from the staff before arriving at the final design,” explained Director Jason McQuaid. The website was completely redesigned from scratch rather than changed, with a focus on showcasing completed projects and giving customers a better understanding of the services provided by the company. MOVING FORWARD With the launch of the mechanical installation division, Braham Group offers a complete services package to their clients and has secured exciting prospects for the following years. According to MD Ciaran McQuaid, EV charging is definitely a sector to invest in moving forward. “We are going to focus on EV charging in general, but more at a
