NEW ECO MIX CONCRETES FROM NORTHSTONE MATERIALS PROVIDE CO 2 REDUCTIONS BETWEEN 10-30%... Concrete choice to build a greener future
N orthstone Materials has launched a new range of Eco Mix concretes specifically designed for residential foundations and subfloors. Speaking about the launch, Steven Oldham, Sales & Marketing Director said, “As an industry we all have a responsibility to consider sustainable measures in all the things that we do. However, this has become more difficult as the input costs have risen faster than ever before over the last 12 months, and with uncertainty over the short term energy and fuel costs, this is unlikely to change in the next 3-6 months.” The Eco Mixes provide Co 2 e reductions of between 10-30% using a combination of alternative cements and high- performance admixtures. These mixes will have minimal impact on performance and workability, allowing little to no impact on programme times. For customers committing to using Eco Mixes, the company will provide a full carbon footprint certificate to show the saving in Co 2 e.
