( 6 ) Warnings from God were not want ing, but the heart to heed them was. (7) If the Lord’s justice is slow,’ it does not stop. ( 8 ) There are no sadder-words that hu man ear ever heard than these, “De part from me; I never knew you.” (9) No prophet; no priest, no protest, can stay the anger of a righteous God, Jer. 15:1.
