Add some

Nothing says spring quite like a garden bursting with colour Roses, lavender, daisies, geraniums and salvias can all add beautiful pops of colour, while native plants such as kangaroo paw and grevillea are fantastic choices for Perth gardens and can attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial visitors. If you're planting vegetables, spring is also a wonderful time to get started. Tomatoes, capsicum, beans, cucumbers, lettuce and herbs can all become incredibly productive with a little sunshine, regular watering and care. Think ahead to summer One of the biggest mistakes we make with our gardens is waiting until summer to prepare for summer. Now is the time to think about which areas of your garden become too hot, where your plants need more shade and whether your watering system can cope. Consider adding shade-loving plants beneath established trees and drought-tolerant varieties in areas exposed to the afternoon sun. And don't forget your lawn. Spring is the perfect time to repair bare patches, remove weeds and give your grass the nutrients it needs before the heat arrives. Your garden and your home will thank you for it.
