of Christ. Do you think you are so bad you can’t go, or that you are too good to have to go? Don’t let the devil fool you. The only people who get to live with the Saviour are those who have been cleansed by His precious blood. Christ alone can make us fit for heaven and then take us there. In I Timothy 2:5 we read, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” There is only one Mediator, not two, a church and a creed. It is not a religion, but a Man. The word “mediator” means “umpire.” Such a person must know the game. Certainly the Saviour does. Christ lived over three decades in the midst of every kind of evil and sin, pride and rebellion, that is known to men. As an umpire, Christ is faithful to both sides. He is true to God and He is true to you. He is impartial in His TRUST There is so much now I cannot see M y eyesight's far too dim, But come what may I'll simply trust And leave it all to Him. righteous judgment. This umpire is not affected by people. They can throw things at Him, call Him names, and all sorts of things, but He remains the same. There is no appeal from an umpire. The Saviour has the last word which will either be, “Come ye blessed of my Father,” or “Depart from me ye cursed.” It is so much better to go to Him now and say, “Lord Jesus, take charge of me while I’m alive; while I have all my senses.” Are you going to be with Him over there? If so, you must let Him be with you down here. You must know Him now for yourself and trust Him as your Saviour. Then in eternity, He will take you to be with Him. Walk with Him, believe in Him, love Him, trust Him and you will be glad through all your days both here and forever. * Some people are like fences, they run around a lot, but they never really get anywhere. * *
