Introduction to Qigong Hills Bank in Coralville, lower level (1009 2nd St) Tuesday, November 6, 9:30 a.m.

Pronounced “kee-gong,” “qi” means life energy and “gong” means work. Attend this class and work to achieve life energy! The gentle rhythmic movement of Qigong reduces stress, builds stamina, and increases the vitality and function of the immune system. Similar in principle to Tai Chi, participants will be led by skilled Qigong instructor Sue Campney through this calming and energizing practice. Please wear loose fitting clothing and remove your shoes for

this class. Register with a Friends Club representative at 319-679-2103 or FriendsClub@HillsBank.com.

Men and their Hair—Artifacts of Barbering Hills Bank in North Liberty (590 W Forevergreen Rd) Thursday, November 15, 2:00 p.m. Doris Montag, our local homespun historian and humorist, returns to Hills Bank with “Men and their Hair—Artifacts of Barbering,” another talk in her series, The History of Ordinary Things. She is eager to share her unique collection of clippers, straight edges, razors, shaving kits, and much more. As this newsletter was going to press, Doris decided to include a related story she calls "A Lady and her Legs—Shaving & Stockings." Join Doris for an amusing afternoon of storytelling about the history of men’s hair, beards and barbers, and now, those naughty flappers! Register with a Friends Club

representative at 319-679-2103 or Allison_Bates@HillsBank.com.
