With many years of dedication to the racing industry, starting from mucking out stables to becoming an integral part of the Victoria Racing Club team, Bec has truly made her mark. For the last seven years, as the Racing Development Officer, she has consistently gone above and beyond, ensuring that jockeys, trainers, owners, and stakeholders enjoy a race day experience that is second to none. Her commitment and passion shine through in everything she does—whether she’s hosing down a horse in the mounting yard on a sweltering day or racing to the front gate to fulfill a last-minute request, Bec is always there, making sure the questions “Is everything ok? Do you need anything?” are never left unasked. Her invaluable contributions during the challenges posed by COVID-19 were particularly notable, as she worked tirelessly to ensure our jockeys had a safe, supportive environment while navigating unprecedented times. The thoroughbred industry is a better place because of incredible individuals like Bec, who go the extra mile every single day to make every stakeholder feel valued.
