IPM Summer Special 2018

camper to instructor ratio is 10:1. Because many campers attend multiple sessions, each session is unique to enable the kids to continue building and expanding their artistic skills over time. At the end of the session, the campers perform a recital for family and friends that reflects all their fun and hard work. They memorize lines from scripts created in-house, and perform their favorite pop songs, familiar stan- dards and selections from Broadway hits – many of which they already know. Feeling personally involved with the material is highly encouraging to the kids; it can validate their artistic choices and reinforce their self-confidence as well as their decision-making skills. Working with scripts helps to develop verbal communication skills, helping them to speak with clear diction. Camp groups are arranged according to age: Tiny Tots (age 4 up to enter- ing kindergarten), Junior Talents (entering grades 1-3), Rising Stars (enter- ing grades 4-6), and Mainstage (entering Grade 7 up to age 16). Tiny Tots camp is held from 9-11:30AM, and the other camps are 9AM-3PM. Extended care is also offered in the onsite Green Room; before and after camp, kids can play games, participate in arts and crafts activities, or watch G-rated movies. Camp CMT provides challenging and engaging stimulation in a safe and nurturing environment, where campers can craft and perform something they thoroughly enjoy creating with a group of like-minded kids. Musical theater can help kids thrive in a team setting, build self-esteem, learn to express themselves, and simply have a good time!
