PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT ADVANCED MEDICAL IMAGING PVCC offers Career Studies Certificates in Computed Tomography, Mammography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Computed Tomography (CT): This certificate prepares individuals to work as entry-level CT imaging technologists. Successful graduates will be prepared to operate computed tomography scanners in healthcare facilities to create diagnostic images. Successful completers will sit for the Registered CT certification exam through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Mammography: This certificate prepares students to be entry- level mammographers. Successful graduates will be prepared to operate breast imaging equipment in healthcare facilities to create diagnostic images. Successful completers will sit for the Registered Mammographer certification exam through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): This certificate prepares students to work as entry-level MRI imaging technologists. Successful graduates will be prepared to operate magnetic resonance imaging scanners in healthcare facilities to create diagnostic images. Successful completers will sit for the MRI certification exam through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
