LAWA is dedicated to promoting the use of renewable energy and to conserving energy use throughout its facilities at LAX and VNY. Per passenger energy usage at both airports decreased since 2021, exceeding the SAP goal of a 15% reduction from 2011 levels ahead of schedule. LAX and VNY continued to engage in LADWP’s Demand Response Program and LAX was awarded for achievements in energy saving measures through the program.
