Members of AICC,The Independent Packaging Asso- ciation, can now register for two back-to-back semi- nars: Production Leadership: Next Level Supervision of People & Process and Production Measurement: Benchmarking & Buy-in , to be held April 21-22 and April 23-24 at StandFast Group in Carol Stream, Illinois. Production Leadership: Next Level Supervision of People & Process will teach managers in independent corrugated, folding carton, and rigid box plants to ad- dress the constant changes in the marketplace and workforce. This course will provide any manager in the packaging industry skills and hands-on experience with the tools of leadership and improvement. The coursework will focus on converting the will- ing to the willing and capable. Attendees will strate- gize about converting the unwilling and capable, like change-resistant long-term employees, back to en- gaged employees. Production Measurement: Benchmarking & Buy- in brings attendees into theWar Room to practice us- ing tools to increase productivity and reduce employ- ee turnover in a virtual company and on the real host plant floor. Participants will work together to find solutions to reach the goal of cutting setup times by 65 percent. Attendees will also work with the crew of the host plant, StandFast Group, to put their new skills into action. Both seminars will be led by Scott Ellis, Ed.D, Prin- cipal,Working Well LLC, a leadership and process im- provement specialist who serves on AICC’s faculty to assist in building the Packaging School curriculum. Consolidated Container Rebrands As Altium Consolidated Container Company (CCC), a packag- ing solutions company, has rebranded the company as Altium Packaging.Further,Tri State Distribution,a phar- maceutical packaging manufacture that CCC acquired in June 2019, will be rebranded as Altium Healthcare.
