Nats !nish weekend split The Rockland Nationals have one more win on their season schedule and one more loss to ponder. The Cumberland Bandits stole the show 6-4 at the Ray Friel Recreation Com- plex in Orléans on Oct. 17 with single goals from Aiden Cannell, Gabriel Cuillerier, Patrick Daoust, Alexi Latimer, Nigel Roy and Ryan Sabourin. Goal assists came from Roy, Nicho- las Bedard, Martin Forget, Alex Labrecque, Alex Leclerc, Broday McLeod, Nicolas Ouellette and Devon Upton. Points for Rockland came from Jeff Brett, Benoît Brunet, Brayden Lane and Patrick MacIntyre with assists from Brett, Lane, Frederik Champagne, Matthew Clifford, Cameryn Griffiths, Patrick Sevigny, and Patrick Johnson. The Nats tamed the Morrisburg Lions 5-3 Sunday at home with goals from Brett, Brunet, Lane, Sevigny, and Nathan Lowry. Goal assists came from Brett, Johnson, Lane, Vincent Martel, and Jordan Ruby. Scoring for the Lions were Ty Hodgson, Jordan Smail, and Chris Spicer, with assists from Spicer, Brandon Boire, Devon Burns, Eric Evans, and Dillon Lapier. The Nats are in Morrisburg Friday for a rematch with the Lions. Le match a bien commencé pour l’équipe qui, en début de troisième période, menait lematch 4 à 0. Trois de ces quatre buts ont étémarqués en avantage numérique. Brunet a marqué le premier but des Castors, aidé de Kal Larivière et de Pancel. Baxter est l’auteur des trois autres buts de son équipe. Il amis la rondelle dans le !let aidé de Baptiste et de Fournier, puis de Suraj Bali et de Brunet. Son dernier but a été fait avec l’aide de Bali et de Walker. Mais le vent a tourné pour l’équipe peu après le début de la troisième période. Les Castors ont grincé des dents, alors que les Flyers ont fait une belle remontée, inscrivant un pointage de 4 à 3 au tableau. Au total, vingt infractions ont été attribuées aux deux équipes, dont 17 aux Castors et 13 aux Glens. Les deux équipes ont passé chacune 61 minutes sur le banc des pénalités. Les Castors disputeront leur prochain match le 24 octobre, au Centre communautaire d’Athens (centre 76), contre les Aeros d’Athens. Ils seront de retour à l’aréna de Clarence Creek le lendemain, alors qu’ils joueront pour la première fois contre les Hawks deWinchester.
