OVERVIEW
The PS pay schedule includes a variety of classified protective services roles, ranging from facility guards to corrections wardens. Jobs in this pay schedule perform duties involving firefighting, police patrol, investigations, security for correctional facilities, etc.

The PS pay schedule structure consists of 25 pay grades. Each pay grade contains a minimum, midpoint, and maximum salary. The minimum of the lowest pay grade is $12.00 per hour or $24,960 annually. The maximum of the highest pay grade is $123.19 per hour or $256,235 annually. Range spreads, from minimum to maximum, are approximately 102% for all pay grades. Range minimums have a standard 7% progression from grade to grade that matches the percentage allowed for promotion under SCS Rule 6.7.
