Review of Employee Median Salaries The average market position of the actual median salaries of classified employees in the benchmarked jobs for the WS pay schedule in 2026 is -11.6% as compared to the public sector and -16.6% as compared to the private sector. RECOMMENDATIONS
A general increase is recommended for the WS pay schedule as follows. • 2% General Increase
The General Increase is recommended for the employees of the WS pay schedule due to the large percentage of employees below their respective midpoints and concerns related to the market position of employee median salaries in 2026. The 2% General Increase for WS employees statewide will have an annualized cost of approximately $5,748,190.92.
