IMPACT OF HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS
An assessment of health insurance costs is provided since health insurance premiums are generally consistent across state agencies. This aspect of benefits is important to consider in the overall market competitiveness of the classified system because if employees cannot afford health coverage, they may seek opportunities with other employers. HEALTH INSURANCE PARTICIPATION The Office of Group Benefits offers five health plan options for employees in 2026 25 . The participation rates in Table 10 are based on a total of 28,064 classified employees who are primary subscribers or dependents. The Magnolia Local Plus plan has the highest participation rate at 79.6%.
