didn’t realize we were poor. I guess everyone was in the same boat but we never talked about it. Life was pretty normal. When Did You Decide to become a Police Officer? At age 5, it seems that I knew I wanted to be a police officer. I was in a grocery store shopping with my mother and came across a police officer who was very nice and stood tall. That is my first recollection that I wanted to be a police officer. I wanted to be just like him. Sometime later, I was riding my bike and almost ran smack into an officer. I was scared to death thinking he was going to arrest and put me in jail! Instead, he was rather shaken himself and calmly spoke to me explaining

What School Did You Attend? I attended Father Ryan and then transfered to Cohn High School in Nashville. Later, I went to St. Thomas Aquinas where I achieved my Associate Degree in Law and later a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Tennessee State University. What was your favorite subject in school? History of course, however my “No, I was a skinny kid, but I had another interest and that was being involved in Student Government. The fact is, my family was pretty poor, so I worked at a local grocery store after school to earn my own spending money for the things I needed. My mother and father were rich in love and guidance.
