Let’s Talk Trash!

We love and appreciate our social media Friends! Keep the tips coming! Let’s Talk About the Law! Yes, that is my job to enforce the laws and help bring people to justice. We could also call a law a “rule”. When a rule is broken, there are consequences. Are there laws for people who throw trash in ditches and littering our roads? Yes! When we find garbage unattended, we go through the bags to find out who it belongs to. It works everytime. So, we then send a summons to them to appear in court which results in them being fined for breaking the law and are charged court costs. Imagine, throwing a bag of trash in a ditch to find yourself in court costing you over $100.00. People who break laws (rules) have to pay (consequences) or they will continue with this unacceptable and bad behavior. What would you like to say to the kids? “Work hard because hard work will be seen by others and open doors for you...Further your education after High School...Your goals will come true, only if you stay focused and work for it!!”

we are very fortunate to have the support for what we do. And, social media has been our greatest asset to help make our county safe! Are we safe in Cheatham County? In relationship to the country, we are very safe! In fact, we are safer now than we were two years ago, for which I am very proud of our local law enforcement team! Tell us more about your

There is so much to do, and it is hard for me to “turn it off” because there are people’s lives to help improve. A Sheriff and his team cannot be successful alone.

That is important to take note! We need the people to be our eyes and ears in the community. Social media has been by far our biggest asset for information and tips. . Thirty percent is deliberate litter from people in vehicles and 70% is negligent litter from unsecured loads. Littering Must Stop

And by the way, my favorite sandwich as a kid was Peanut Butter and Jelly! Mike Breedlove was once a kid just like you!
