Christmas is coming soon, and you may have to make room for some new toys. It is a big problem when you don’t play with your old toys anymore. All these miscellaneous parts and pieces are filling your closets and drawers. What was once a great set of Monopoly or the Game of Life, is now reduced to “kibble and bits.” So, what exactly can you do with them? Instead of throwing them in the garbage, where some of these plastic pieces may hang around in landfills from 5 to 450 years, you have a better, more interesting, fun and creative choice, “repurposing.” Make something NEW out of them! You can create a great gift for someone else for Christmas at little to no cost. You can also make a lot of interesting “stuff” that can be also useful. Use the old dinosaurs to make a flower pot, or use them as hooks. Also if you have vintage toys like trucks, you can use them as pots or storage for your books. Most all toys are made from plastic materials and can take anywhere from 5 to 450 years to biodegrade! Here are a few ideas as to how to “repurpose” those annoying little pieces of plastic. Let’s Talk Trash! MAKE ROOM FOR TOYS!
