OPPORTUNITÉ D’EMPLOI INTERNE / EXTERNE OPÉRATEUR D’ÉQUIPEMENT AUX TRAVAUX PUBLICS - TEMPS PLEIN Le département des infrastructures est à la recherche de candidat(e)s motivé(e)s pour combler le poste ci-haut mentionné. Sous la direction du Superviseur des travaux publics, le titulaire sera responsable d’opérer les équipements lourds servant à la construction et à l'entretien des routes, des ponts, des bâtiments et autres ouvrages. L’Opérateur sera responsable d'exécuter les tâches suivantes, mais ne sont pas limitées à: x Manœuvrer des équipements lourds tels que des pelles rétrocaveuses et des chargeuses afin de construire et d’entretenir des routes de gravier et d'asphalte, des stationnements, des systèmes de drainage, des trottoirs et des panneaux au cours la construction ou de travaux connexes; x Inspecter et rendre compte de l'état de la signalisation routière et directionnelle, des ponts, des systèmes de drainage et de l'éclairage; x Manœuvrer de l'équipement lourd pour la réparation et le revêtement des routes au cours de la construction et/ou de la réparation des routes; x Conduire l'équipement lourd pour le déneigement et le déglaçage des routes et des stationnements; x Effectuer l’entretien de routine et préventif des véhicules et de l’équipement; et x Effectuer des tâches manuelles liées à l'entretien et aux activités des routes et du système de drainage. x Diplôme d'études secondaires; x 3 ans d'expérience dans les opérations d'équipement lourd incluant le chargement, le déchargement et le déneigement; x Être en mesure de travailler des horaires différents de travail et /ou travailler des heures irrégulières (été et hiver) et être disponible 24h/24h (sur appel) pendant la période d'entretien et de déneigement en hiver; x Demeurer dans un rayon de 20 minutes du garage municipal afin de répondre au temps de réponse minimum requis pendant la période d'entretien et de déneigement en hiver; x Posséder une licence DZ pour l’opération des véhicules à essieu tandem; un permis AZ serait un atout x Programme d’apprentissage ou formation spécialisée en conduite d’équipement lourde ainsi qu’une formation en cours d’emploi; x Certifications en patrouille d’hiver et/ou l’équivalent d’école de neige, et en construction routière et/ou gestion routière seraient un atout; x Connaissance en mécanique et en soudure serait un atout. SOMMAIRE DU POSTE ÉXIGENCES Le salaire, basé sur un horaire de 40 heures par semaine, est fixé entre 49 486$ et 61 868$ par année en plus de recevoir une prime de responsabilité de disponibilité lors de la période déclarée d’entretien et de déneigement d’hiver ainsi qu’un ensemble d’avantages sociaux compétitifs et un régime de retraite. The Infrastructure Department is currently seeking motivated individuals for the above mentioned employment opportunity Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor, the incumbent will responsible for operating heavy equipment used in the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, buildings and other structures. The Operator will be responsible for performing the following duties but is not limited to: x Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes and loaders to excavate materials and to construct and maintain gravel and asphalt roads, parking lots, drainage systems, sidewalk and signage during construction and related activities; x Inspect and report on the condition of, traffic and directional signage and bridges, and drainage systems and lighting; x Operate heavy equipment to repair, resurface roads during road construction and/or repair; x Operate heavy equipment to provide snow removal and ice control on all municipal roads and parking lots; x Perform routine and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment; and x Perform manual tasks related to maintenance and operations of roads and drainage system. x Completion of secondary school education; x 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operations including loading, unloading and snow removal experience; x Must be able to work different work schedules and/or work irregular shifts (summer and winter) as well be available 24/7 (On-call) during winter snow maintenance and removal period; x Must reside within a 20-minute range of the Municipal garage in order to respond to the minimum required response time during the winter snow maintenance and removal period; x Possess a DZ License to operate in tandem axle vehicles; an AZ license would be an asset; x Completion of apprenticeship program or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training x Certifications in Winter Patrol and/or any equivalent snow driving school, in road construction and/or road management would be an asset; x Knowledge of mechanics and welding would be an asset. REQUIREMENTS The salary, based on a 40 hours per week, is between, $49,486 and $61,868 per year in addition to a standby premium pay during the declared winter maintenance and removal period together with an extended benefit package and retirement plan.
