A weekend of “fabulous art” awaits
at the sixth annual Art Fayre exhibition
and sale, held at the Glengarry Pioneer
Museum, which is celebrating its 50 th
anniversary. This year’s version of the

show will be held Saturday, June 23 and
Sunday, June 24 from noon to 4 p.m.

All exhibiting artists will be in
attendance, offering you a great
opportunity to talk to the folks who
created the art. The exhibition and sale
will feature a wide range of media,
including painting, drawing, wood
carving and wood turning, mixed media
and fibre art. Delicious refreshments and
beverages will be served.

During the show, some of the
exhibiting artists will pick up their
brushes, pens, lathes and chainsaws to
demonstrate how they created their
masterpieces. Be prepared to watch and
learn and have fun too.

Art Fayre has many purposes.
Artistically, it provides talented local
artists a venue in which to show their
work. The artist demonstrations give
artists an opportunity to share their
creativity with visitors. And ultimately it
gives visitors a chance to purchase
original artworks. The log building of
the Orange Lodge provides a wonderful
setting to show off their works and this

year, art will also be displayed outdoors
in the beautiful new Williams Pavilion.
The show is also a fundraiser for the
museum.
