better. At this point in my life, and in NO WAY am I com- plaining, it takes a lot of work to have exponential gains. I can’t make my life 30 percent better in a short period of time anymore, but I know when I was just starting, that happened all the time. Another cool thing about making progress is that it becomes infectious. Underdogs get one thing going for them, and then the next thing becomes easier. It’s like roll- ing something downhill—once you get it started, everything becomes much easier. I’ve seen this so many times in my own life, and in other underdogs who came from nowhere to achieve massive success. You just have to start taking action, learning from those actions—whether you succeed or fail—and improving until you get it right. Then, you use this momentum to rocket past the privi- leged and take their place. Kind of like what I did with the fishing. REELING IT IN We got to the first hole and nobody was catching fish. So everyone moved to the second hole. Maybe one person caught a fish. Not that any of us were saying anything, but
