Sian Taylor

Background and Work Experience Over my career I have led and managed diverse teams and I have utilised and deepened my coaching skills and techniques to make a transformational difference for leaders, managers, peers and line reports. My career initially started in scientific research leading to management and then broader leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry and academia. I led teams and utilising my coaching skills, supported individuals in achieving their personal goals and self-development aims, help individuals progress and flourish. I now focus on working with leaders helping them to recognise and expand their leadership style and skills, so that, in turn, they are themselves able to get the best out of others. I both support and challenge the people I work with, to help them learn and develop, strengthen their reputation, develop a strong collaborative working culture within their teams and organisations, and create an environment that empowers and motivates the people they work with and lead. Approach I coach with the belief in someone’s capacity to change, breakthrough their own barriers in striving for what they believe in. To do this, I create an environment built on trust in which the person I work with can explore possibilities, seek to understand the implications of the options they have and to make thoughtful decisions. I build deep rapport and collaborative relationships with each person I work with, focusing on their goals and objectives within the wider organisational context, to deliver results.  I specialise helping individuals understand their leadership capability, enhancing their self-belief whilst working in complex environments, having difficult conversations, managing competing stakeholder expectations, influencing colleagues across interdependent systems, making decisions when faced with uncertainty and ambiguity, and having clarity of purpose.
