Touch the Skies at the IWASM

founded in 1931. Today the Ninety-Nines have over 5,000 members all over the world, with a mission of education, networking, mentorship, scholarship opportunities, and the preservation of women’s history in aviation. The IWASM exists to house this history and share it with the public. When you explore the gallery, you’ll discover stories of daring heroics, ambition, intelligence, and hope. Learn about the brave WASPs (Women Airforce Service Pilots) who flew in World War II and get to know some of the stellar female astronauts who have left our planet’s surface and walked among the stars. In addition to the amazing exhibits, the IWASM also hosts numerous events throughout the year. Their next event is on March 29, Dinner with a Slice of History. Wally Funk, a member of Mercury 13 and the first female air safety investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, will be sharing stories about her incredible life. The IWASM charges no admission and is open to the public every day. We are taking an office field trip there soon! Visit IWASM.org to learn more about this amazing museum and start planning your trip.
