Medical pharmacology focuses on the science behind drugs and medicines, their effects on living systems, and their role in treating disease.

Learn about toxicology, immunology and drug development. A range of optional modules allows you to tailor your studies to your interests, career goals, or plans for further study. Medical Pharmacology is a critical undergraduate degree, developed using the British Pharmacological Society’s undergraduate core curriculum to fill the current workforce and skills gaps in medicine and pharmaceutical development. Benefit from access to state-of-the-art research facilities, develop excellent project management skills and learn how to design experiments and plan work programmes. You will focus on one of three employability strands: Medical Science in Research, Medical Science in Practice (subject to eligibility), or Enterprise and Innovation.
