Swansea University 2024 Undergraduate Prospectus

I felt blessed throughout my time as a student nurse at Swansea to have had so many opportunities, experiences and support from the University, their affiliations, the staff, my fellow students and patients of our NHS and this all shaped me to be the A&E nurse that I am today. As a Welsh speaker, I received the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Incentive Scholarship, worth £500 a year during my studies, on top of the NHS Wales Bursary that covered my tuition fees. As well as financial support, Coleg Cymraeg also offered me incredible opportunities: I took part in the S4C documentary 'Nurses', was given opportunities to share my experiences as a nursing student with prospective students in schools, and I was invited to speak at a conference on the importance of the Welsh language in leadership. Most importantly, though, I got to continue my studies through the medium of Welsh, which made my experience so much better.

NURSING (ADULT) GRADUATE Shortlisted for the Student Nursing Times Award for Student Nurse of the Year (Adult) 2021
