Child Nursing is a diverse and essential profession. At our excellent facilities, which provide realistic workplace simulations, you learn about the holistic health and wellbeing needs of children, young people, and their families and develop the professional skills to provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and health protection measures. You will spend approximately half of your course on clinical placements in a range of clinical and community settings, often working as part of a multidisciplinary team across the health and social care sectors, which will allow you to hone the practical skills you need to begin your career with confidence. Applying for Nursing When applying for this course, you should show that you understand the role of the child nurse and understand the importance of the NHS Wales values. Your application should explain why you think you'd be a good nurse and show your commitment to the profession.
