Ealing Council serves the residents and businesses of London's fourth largest borough, which is located in the heart of west London. The council provides dozens of different services, from disposing of abandoned cars to running the Hanwell Zoo. Ealing Council puts the needs of our 342,000 residents above all else and the council's three priorities reflect the issues that matter most to local people. We are committed to improving services, our performance and ensuring value for money in everything we do. The borough is made up of seven areas: Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall. Together, they make a vibrant and diverse community; and also provide a wide array of shopping, housing and stunning parks. The borough is economically strong with more than 13,000 businesses and excellent transport links - Heathrow Airport and central London are minutes away. Ealing Council Priorities: The council is here to serve local residents and we want to put that at the heart of everything we do. We have listened very carefully to what you have been telling us and are making it a priority to deliver on the things that really matter to you.
We have three top priorities for the borough which are:
• Creating good jobs - rebuilding our economy, returning good well-paid jobs to our borough and delivering the next generation of genuinely affordable homes. • Tackling the climate crisis - greening our borough, cleaning our air and ensuring the borough we build is sustainable. • Fighting inequality - relentlessly tackling poverty and inequality that blights too many lives and disproportionately holds back all too many people from achieving their dreams and aspirations. The cabinet, the council’s main decision-making body, will help drive forward the priorities and make sure that our services are meeting your needs. We want residents, businesses and others to help us shape Ealing and the towns within it, by joining a dedicated conversation to put your priorities under the spotlight.
