Job Role: Salary: The Role

To be successful in this role, first and foremost you will need to have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of this position, there are several relationship streams that will need to be developed and maintained, as well as managing and leading the engineering and maintenance team. Having substantial experience of operating in a senior engineering and/or maintenance leadership role as the figurehead and subject matter expert within an organisation is essential, including possessing demonstrable technical competency. Strong experience and knowledge of budget management is required, with demonstrable experience of leading the development and implementation of successful maintenance strategies. Being a member (or working towards the membership) of a professional body (CIBSE, CIOB, RICS etc) is highly desirable. It is an exciting and a busy time to join the team at Ealing Council with several new projects and service activities planned over the next 12 months and there will be the opportunity to influence change and support the professional development of the service.

Head of Maintenance & Engineering £61,470 – £64,704 per annum + generous benefits

The role of Head of Maintenance & Engineering is central to the performance and development of the building services team within Property Services. Leading a diverse and dynamic team, incorporating several subject matter experts, the Head of Maintenance & Engineering will have the overall responsibility of the quality and standard of all maintenance and engineering work across the portfolio, including making sure statutory compliance is met, and industry standards are exceeded.
