Douglas Juniors Anthony Gonzalez (left) and Taylor Alexander (right) have been named Ledger Leaders. Anthony has a 3.95 GPA and participates in Cross Country and Track & Field. He is member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. Taylor has a 4.0 GPA and is a volleyball standout for the Eagles. She is a member of the Spanish Club, FCCLA, and an FCA representative. She attends Calvary Baptist Church.

Boaz Student-Athlete Caroline Cofield Cannady and Cofield Named Boaz Ledger Leaders By Brandon K. Pierce The Sports Ledger
Two standout student-athletes at Boaz High School have earned 2026 Ledger Leader honors. Landon Cannady and junior Classmate Caroline Cofield are both deserving of this year’s award, as each have excelled academically, in athletics, and in the community. Landon is a two-sport standout for the Pirates’, playing both Basketball and Baseball. He was the basketball Team Caption, the Class 5A Area 13 MVP, and he has earned first team All-Marshall County honors. He was also named to the AHSAA Area Basketball All- Tournament team. With a 4.46 GPA Landon is in the Top 10% of his class at Boaz. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, FCA, and FFA. He is a Junior Marshall and an active member of TOTC (Tabernacle of the Congregation Church) in Albertville. Landon has also volunteered his time to help with FFA Cleanup projects and assist with Wounded Warriors in Action Pheasant Shoot. Caroline is also in the Top 10% of her Class with a 4.41 GPA and she is a volleyball standout for the Lady Pirates. Her on-court performance has garnered numerous honors including All-County (2024), All-Area MVP (2024 and 2025), All-State Second Team (2025), and a 200 kills award. At Boaz High School she participates in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, HOSA Club, and FCA. Outside of BHS, Caroline actively serves as a church greeter and nursery worker. Allie Kate Lincoln and Micah Little have been selected as the 2026 Ledger Leaders from Southside High School. Allie Kate is a three-sport student athlete, playing basketball, golf, and volleyball for the Panthers. For her efforts on the basketball court, she has earned All-County honors. In the classroom, she has a 4.0 academic GPA and is an honor roll student. Allie Kate is a Southside Panthers Ambassador, and she participates in the High School Student Government. Furthermore, she is a member of the National Honor Society, the Key Club, and Astra Club. Allie Kate values the importance of education and has demonstrated that by being a Dual Enrollment Student at both Gadsden State and Jacksonville State University. Outside of school, she is a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church where she has helped supervise and care for children in the Nursery. She also volunteered for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, where she helped build and assemble beds for children in need. Micah has played football at Southside and has been a member of the Panthers Cross Country XC, Soccer, and Track and Field programs. Like his junior classmate, Micah also has a 4.0 GPA and is involved in numerous clubs at Southside High School. He participates in the FCA, FFA Science Club, Leo Club, and Key Club. Additionally, he is a 2026 American Legion Boys State Representative, an AP Honors Student, and a First Priority Founder and Leader at Southside. Outside of school, Micah has experience working as a summer missionary with the Etowah Baptist Association in Gadsden. He participated in a 2021 mission trip to Montana and has helped with Vacation Bible Schools. Micah has also volunteered for various other projects and festivals, including peer mentorship at Southside Elementary last year.

Fyffe Ledger Leaders Have Five Combined State Championships By Brandon K. Pierce The Sports Ledger The 2026 Ledger Raegan Brooks is the 2026 Ledger Leader from Gadsden City High School. The soccer and flag football standout is a member of the National Honors Society, Key Club (Treasurer), Titan Ambassador, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Titan Helpers, and SGA.
Ava has been an active member of Peer Helpers, the Yearbook Club, Pep Club, and STEM Club. She is also a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Leader, the FBLA Treasurer, and the Senior Beta Reporter. Outside of school, Ava has helped with Toys for Tots and Sleep in Heavenly Peace. She also assisted with Fyffe’s Elementary Field Day and an FCA Golf Tournament. In addition to playing football and golf and maintaining a 4.4 GPA, Ethan has found time for various actives and events. He is a pep club helper and a tutor for junior high students. Ethan was selected to attend Junior Leaders Dekalb and he was the FCA 2025 Boys Athlete of the Year. He is the senior Beta Chaplain, FCA Student Leader, FBLA Historian and President of his Junior Class.
Leaders from Fyffe High School have participated on a combined five state championship teams and both still have their senior season ahead of them next fall. Fyffe Junior Ava Bryant has been a member of the Red Devils 2023, 2024, and 2025 State Championship Cheerleading squads, while classmate Ethan Hill was a member of the 2022 and 2023 state championship football program. Ava has earned numerous individual honors, including being selected as the most improved cheerleader in both 2023 and 2024. In addition to cheerleading, Ava plays on the Fyffe Girls Golf Team and was a Sectional qualifier in 2025 and 2026. During her time as a student athlete at Fyffe,
