Albertville Basketball Standouts Named 2026 Ledger Leaders
By Brandon K. Pierce The Sports Ledger Albertville’s Trey Bright hopes to leave his mark as one of the best boys basketball players at AHS. The Aggie Junior said that he has been “working hard to earn an NCAA scholarship and play college basketball at the next level.” Trey has been working toward that goal for several years both on the court and in the classroom. During his junior years, he averaged 12 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. He was also a 52% field goal shooter from two-point range, and he averaged 34% from beyond the arc. Additionally, he earned All-County honors during the regular season and at the Marshall County Tournament. Trey also
earned Class 7A All-Area regular season honors. Academically, he has a 3.8 GPA, a score of 25 on his ACT, and he is a member of the A/B Honor roll at Albertville. Outside of school he is involved in travel ball. These efforts, and others, helped Trey earn Ledger Leader Honors from The Sports Ledger. Joining him this year from Albertville is junior classmate Mylee Butler, who also already committed to continue her basketball career at East Carolina University. During her career at AHS, Mylee has scored 2000 points and recorded 500 assists. She was named the Marshall County Defensive MVP. Additionally, she was selected for the 7A All-
Area Tournament Team, 7A All-Region Team, All- State Third Team, All-North Alabama Area Second Team, and as a participant in the North South All-star basketball game. In addition to basketball, Mylee has also excelled in Track at Albertville. She holds the school records in 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and 400m. She earned the Marshall County Girls MVP and placed 1st in the 300m hurdles at Sectionals. Mylee also qualified for State in the 100m and 300m hurdles, along with the 4x800 relay. Academically, Mylee has a 4.2 GPA. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the FCA. She is also a peer helper. Mylee attends Compassion City Church.
