A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. RAND21/01/2023 Don’t Doubt Dory RR the gelding settled further forward than anticipated and in her

Near the 1300m was bumped. As a result became unbalanced before then being eased to take cover behind. Near the 400m raced in restricted room for between runners. Approaching the 200m raced in restricted room between runners. Apprentice advised she had intended to lead on the gelding but given the early tempo she then elected to race outside that that runner until the incident near the 1300m. She added approaching the 700m when another runner raced forward to her outside, she elected not to hold her position but to race behind to assist the gelding running out the distance strongly. M V 21/01/2023 Disappointing. Rider could offer no explanation for the performance, other than to suggest his mount may be better suited when contesting events of a greater distance. SANH04/02/2023 Held up for clear running from the 500m. Near the 200m was steadied to avoid heels and then continued to be held up for clear running in the early part of the straight before then shifting in towards the running rail approaching the 100m. Vets examination revealed the gelding had sustained a laceration to the left fore. M V 21/01/2023

King commented that the mare raced flat today. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. E FM 25/06/2022 Raced three wide without cover. Rider reported he was caught three wide without cover in the middle stages and as his mount would have had to work too hard to take up a position outside the leader, he therefore elected to remain wide.
