When the tempo eased in the middle stages became awkward on the heels CAUL 12/10/2022 COT: To settle further forward; led. When qst, rdr std instructed to ride positively & from wide barrier expected to settle outside leader. Std after jumping well he did not ride with urgency as he identified opportunity to obtain cover behind leaders, but near 1200m when wide, on making first turn he rode mnt along briefly & was able to cross easily & then steadied pace. Std he gained soft sectionals from 1000m until near 600m, at which stage another rnr started a forward move. Std mnt battled on well until passing 200m whereby it did not find line. A post-race vet exam rev slow to recover. RHIL 28/01/2023 Performed below market expectations. Raced wide and without cover throughout. Rider H Coffey explained that after being wide throughout the gelding was disappointing. He further added that the gelding hung out throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. LAUN27/01/2023 Rider reported the colt travelled well in the early and middle stages however when asked for an effort passing the 600m failed to respond to her riding and was disappointing. Hampered near the 1500m by Perfect Thought which had been taken out by Rediener which shifted out away from Lincoln Square. FLEM 29/10/2022 Began awkwardly. Near the 450m, when attempting to secure clear running, became awkward on heels and shifted out abruptly. Hung in under pressure in the home straight. GCST 07/01/2023 Slow to begin. Raced wide early. Settled outside the leader near the 1600m. Rider reported that in a race that lacked genuine tempo, from his wide barrier, whilst his mount began only fairly, he allowed it to stride forward and settle more prominently than it had at its most recent starts. CAUL 15/10/2022 Near the 100m steadied for a few strides when tightened for room between runners both of which shifted ground slightly. Rider reported his mount would benefit from today’s run. SANH04/02/2023 Raced keenly in the early stages and when caught wide and without cover from the 1300m until the 1000m when being allowed to stride forward to sit outside the leader. CANT10/02/2023 Rdr permitted to ride 1kg over allotted weight. Inclined to lay out when placed under pressure in the home straight and passing the 300m brushed with another rnr. Continued to lay out under pressure and passing the 100m shifted out obliging its rdr to stop riding and straighten his mnt to avoid causing interference. W FM04/01/2023
