Y10 Bulletin 26.04.24

A MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF YEAR 10

This week we continued our post 16 options campaign of information. We ran an assembly for the year group promoting and discussing everything that the sixth form here at Waldegrave can offer. Teachers have been busy submitting their monitoring grades for Year 10, which will be coming out to you early next week in advance of parents evening. The first two weeks have revealed a new winner of the epraise points total for the week, Abi in 10FJA followed closely by Uma in 10EAH and Hannah in 10SHO. The tutor group leading the way is still 10SHO but let’s hope this term we will see a new tutor group topple from its crown! Next week we will start our series of tutor time sessions on revision techniques. Tutors will go through all the different skills the students might want to explore in the run up to their GCSEs. We will have mock exams for Year 10 held over two weeks running from 10 - 21 June. There will be a chance to discuss that with teachers during virtual parents evening on Wednesday 1 May. Well done to Tia in 10PCL and Cosmo in 10FJA who attended the Twickenham Youth Theatre Spring Festival along with two other students from various year groups last Friday. I was delighted to hear that they all delivered exceptionally strong performances and were very supportive of each other.
