Flexo Wash Denmark held its first-ever live virtual FlexoWash NarrowWeb EXPO,which took place from June 21-30, 2021. Originally scheduled for five days, it was increased to eight days due to high demand.There

The Expo featured more than 50 one-on-one live ses- sions and more than 100 machine demos Contact Originators Unveils Platemaking Upgrade Flexographic platemaker, Contact Originators, has unveiled a 24,000-litre distillation unit housed at the company’s new site in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester. It offers three-times the capacity provided at Con- tact’s previous site in Bredbury, Stockport, which was damaged by fire in January 2020. Unlike the one at Stockport, the new still is heated by steam instead of oil as part of Contact Origina- tors’ commitment to creating a wholly sustainable platemaking operation. The still is housed in a sepa- rate building to the platemaking production halls on the 32,000-square-foot site, and the company is now investigating ways to reduce and overcome the chal- lenge of waste produced in the platemaking process, to improve sustainability even further.
