VPK Packaging Group NV (VPK) has invested in CorrBoard UK, the consortium based corrugated sheet feeder located in Scunthorpe, North Lin- colnshire. CorrBoard was established in 2014 by a consortium of prominent corrugated sheet plants to supply quali- ty corrugated materials for their own manufacturing purposes. As part of the investment, VPK has acquired a 30 percent stake in CorrBoard that was previously held by Corrugated Synergies International, as well as cap- ital increase.

PMMI Raises $325,000 To Aid Hurricane Afflicted Areas The North American packaging and processing in- dustry joined together to help bring relief to the vic- tims of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Harvey in Texas, Hurricane Irma in Florida and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Under the leadership of PMMI, The Association of Packaging and Processing Technologies, the manufac- turing community raised more than $325,000 for the American Red Cross’ hurricane relief efforts. PMMI matched $100,000 in online and onsite donations from PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packag- ing EXPO 2017, while proceeds from PACK gives BACK drove the final number.
