Key responsibilities. Taking briefs and delivering significant projects. Able to work with, and have an appreciation of, the integration of other construction professionals’ requirements for the project. Working on multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Ensuring that all work under your control is undertaken to relevant and applicable UK and EU regulations, design guides etc. Developing and producing reports, specifications, guidance notes, and general correspondence; ensuring quality and technical quality standards are met. Enabling open communication among all project team members ensuring feedback is provided and acted upon efficiently in a timely manner. Overseeing site-based activities and deliverables, reviewing the installation of services, witnessing selected testing and commissioning results, and commenting on operation and maintenance manuals. Providing written reports on design specification compliance. Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings. Effectively delegating and managing work packages, ensuring support and guidance is provided to team members including the mentoring of graduates, technical and other employees. Limiting Hoare Lea’s exposure to risk through the use of appropriate/timely design, resourcing and correspondence actions, taking responsibility for raising potential problems and identifying solutions. Taking the lead role from a partner / project leader where necessary. Fee management and thorough understanding of contract administration, procurement and conditions of contract/ appointment. IT literate, with a technical understanding of relevant IT packages i.e. REVIT, Amtec, Hevacomp, IES and Microsoft office.
