Created by friends Pablo Conde & Alexander Norton, Pink Sand Spirit’s mission is to elevate the antiquated tropical beverage scene, capturing the essence of a refined island lifestyle, while en - couraging people to create lasting memories with their favorite people – on or off an island. “Pink Sand Spirits really began in 1983 with my first visit to Harbour Island in the Bahamas. I was in - stantly mesmerized by the warm salty breeze, the refreshing turquoise sea, the cool pink sand and the relaxed and laid-back, refined lifestyle of the people there. With each trip throughout the years many lifelong friendships were formed,” says Conde. “We wanted to share this unique lifestyle with the world. At the forefront, we knew drinks that were light and refreshing and mirrored the simplicity and elegance we experienced during our times chasing the sun would be a sandy step in the right direction,” Norton adds. In early December the brand hosted their U.S. launch, 200 of Miami’s finest gathered under the stars for the exclusive US launch of Pink Sand Spirits & Seltzers at the brand’s first pop up launch experience ‘The Pink Sand Bar’ in Edgewater. Pink Sand transformed the patio space at Expansive Miami into a sophisticated, island-inspired bar and lush oasis filled with tropical plants, bougainvillea, hibiscus flowers and fresh citrus (a nod to their flavored spirits & seltzers) bringing in a taste of the tropics to the Magic City. Guests ‘cracked open the good life,’ sipping the brand’s signature seltzers - Island Citrus Vodka & Soda, Pineapple Mint Rum & Soda, Hibiscus Gin & Soda & Grapefruit Tequila & Soda) and custom cocktails created in collaboration with Gourmet Booze including The Siren’s Sip - Pink Sand Island Citrus Vodka, fresh lime, lychee, rose, butterfly pea; Pineapple Fields Forever - Pink Sand Pineapple Mint Rum, fresh pineapple, fresh lime, mint, jalapeño essence; Hibiscus Holidaze - Pink Sand Hi - biscus Gin, West Indian sorrel, guava purée, lemon; Pink Sand Paloma - Pink Sand Tequila Blanco, sparkling grapefruit, citrus agave. The evening featured sounds by DJ Suarey and gourmet grazing tables by Epic Cheese Boards. A Pink Sand Spirits cocktail or seltzer can be enjoyed anywhere and draws inspiration from nostal- gic cocktails but with a modern flare. These ready-to-drink seltzers and spirits resonate with those who yearn for memories of carefree beach days, rekindling memories of good times past and the anticipation of good times to come.
