King StTREET (L-14) VENOMOUS SNAKE AND REPTILE SHOW PRESENTED BY PRECISION REPTILES WHEN: Occuring every half hour from 9:30am - 5.15pm daily Get wrapped up with friendly pythons and admire the incredible Australian wildlife at the Venomous Snake and Reptile Show presented by Precision Reptiles. The show will feature all things scaly - get up-close to snakes, lizards and a baby saltwater crocodile in a safe setting. A team of brave snake handlers will talk about snake safety - what to do if you come across a snake, how to discourage them from your property and the correct snake bite first aid. XXXX STOCKMEN’S BAR AND GRILL (O-6) NEW - AUSTRALIAN STRONGMAN ALLIANCE: QUALIFIER FOR THE MAGNUS CLASSIC WHEN: 10am August 13 Watch as some of Australia's top strong men and women take on five gruelling events in an Australian Strongman Alliance competition. These super athletes will compete in the sandbag load medley, max log press, pole push, Hercules hold (150kg per hand for the men and 80kg for the women) and lever deadlift (400kg for the men and 250kg for the women). It’s the first time the Ekka has hosted the only Queensland qualifier for one of the biggest events internationally, the 2023 Magnus Ver Magnusson Strongman Classic, held in Iceland later this year. GREGORY TERRACE (J-13) NEW – EKKA'S FARMYARD FRIENDS STREET PARADE WHEN: 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm daily For the very first time, the Ekka is putting on a street parade that will pass through Gregory Terrace three times a day. Wave to the loveable Farmyard Friends - Milo the Sheep Dog, Daisy the Dairy Cow, Hayden the Horse, Barbara the Sheep and Rhonda MacDonald - on their impressive barnyard float. The street parade will also feature energetic dancers from Theatre and Dance, plus catchy tunes from Ekka’s brass band. FARMYARD FRIENDS - ROVING WHEN: 3.30pm, 4.30pm and 5.30pm daily Everyone’s favourite farmyard friends Milo the Sheep Dog, Daisy the Dairy Cow, Hayden the Horse and Barbara the Sheep will be roving Gregory Terrace daily with Rhonda MacDonald. Get your camera out and snap a selfie with these loveable Ekka mascots! They will also appear nightly at 6pm in the Main Arena doing giveaways as part of the pre night show.
