They are wonderful”. He suddenly turns around and points to a big banner located behind his desk. The picture of a lovely and nice looking woman is placed in the center. “This here is Denise Vernier” Bédard said in a low voice. “She was our director Mike Vernier’s wife.” Letting out a sigh which resonates through the small office, he then proceeds to explain how she went missing in 2011, only to be found deceased months later. “It hit home”, he said. “But throughout the search, MCAA was there to help Mike and his family, just like we helped so many be- fore that”. Cornwall - Jean Bédard, approaching his 65 th year of age, sits in his office, a proud man and with good reasons. The Missing Children and Adult Association ’s president had been operating the non-profit orga- nization out of his basement for the past four years. “It’s hard having to see pictures of missing people 24 hours a day”, said Bédard. “I never had a private life either.” The office of the MCAA is now located at 31 Second St. East. Wolfe was also charged with breach of probation, as it was later discovered that she was bound by a probation order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior.
