Rushing To Russians With The Gospel I have just visited Europe where I found great spiritual hunger for the Word of God. We must give the gospel to the Russians, Ukranians and other Slavic-spekaing people in Europe, South and North America now. Some doors are closing for gospel work. We must redeem the time. Re lief must be sent to suffering Christians in Europe. We need more mis sionaries in Alaska . . . Peter Deyneka. Pray and send your gift to SLAVIC GOSPEL ASSOCIATION (formerly Russian Gospel Association) Peter Deyneka, General Director

WHAT COLOR IS MY CHRISTIANITY ? Acts 10:1-33

God intended that His gospel should be for all people everywhere. We are indebted to take God’s Word to those of every race and color and bring to them the knowledge of God’s salva tion. The unsaved have confused our Christian obligation with social priv ileges. The Scripture never indicates anywhere that those of different races are to intermingle in domestic or so cial life. God made all nations of one blood but the Scripture adds, He set the hounds of their habitation. We give the gospel to the prisoners in the jail, but we certainly do not join up with them in fellowship. Mixing Races Is Rarely Successful The Negro does not live like the white person. The Japanese and the Chinese have a different outlook on life than others. Union between those of opposite races, particularly black and white, is not usually successful. There must be a meeting of minds to make social life agreeable. In Christian matters, the saved white recognizes the saved black as a broth er in Christ. However, the mixing of these two on the same basis has not in the past proved to be God’s plan for Christian living. Like loves like. It is not wise to seek to break that law. Mixing Races Means Mixing Minds In the providence of God each race of people has become accustomed to certain lines of thinking and reason ing. They accustom themselves to certain methods and ways of domestic life and business affairs. To endeavor to break down these barriers in the name of Christianity is substituting a work that nowhere is countenanced by God. When the Saviour talked with the woman at the well (the Samaritan woman) He made no sug gestion at all about removing the bar riers between the Jews and the Samar itans. He only presented God’s way of salvation for both. This is our task. Mixing Races Means Mixing Messages It is never in the province of the Christian to try to make those of other races think his thoughts, espe cially in domestic matters or national affairs. The business of the believer is to make known God’s Word, the way of salvation, and God’s way of Christian living. Those who seek to break down racial barriers must

This Misery Must Be Alleviated The Cry of Hebrew Christians in Distress

Economic conditions in Europe and in Israel have become critical. This we learn from the increasing numbers of Hebrew Christians ap pealing to us to help them out of their mis ery and distress. From Berlin, where there are about 5000 surviving Hebrew Christians, one of our representatives writes: “ Nearly 90% of our group of people are unemployed. The number of those in misery and despair increases daily. We ur gently need money for food!” From another city in Germany an anxious but trusting Hebrew Christian mother says: “We live in the most distressing conditions. My child is ill with T.B. The medicine he needs is nourishing food, for which we have no means. Yet we do not despair, for we still Rev. Jacob Peltz, Ph.B., B.D.

believe somehow that God will not forsake us!” Still another, this one from behind the iron curtain writes: “With a severe winter facing us without heat, without light, with insufficient food for our children, and no em ployment, we implore you to help us now be fore it is too late!” Dear Christian reader, please do help us to alleviate the misery and distress of these starving Hebrew Christians who miraculously escaped death during the Nazi era of persecu tion. We must not abandon these brethren of our Lord now. Let us not weary in well doing. Please send your gift immediately to help Hebrew Christians in distress in Europe and the Holy Land. $10.00 will pay for a big nutritious CARE food parcel for a needy family in Europe or in Israel. $10.00 a month will support one of our Hebrew Christian orphans in our Children’s home in Germany. An up-to-date News Letter of our work in Europe and Israel will be gladly sent on re quest.
