GREGG CHAMBERLAIN gregg.chamberlain@eap.on.ca UNE ODYSSÉE ALIMENTAIRE MONDIALE AVEC LILIANE BLANCHARD et la partie culinaire de chaque épisode est une expérience pratique pour Liliane et Baptiste. Ils apparaissent ensemble au début et à la fin de chacun des 20 épisodes filmés pour la première saison. Puis le reste des épisodes est réparti entre eux, de sorte que Liliane est seule pour 10 des épisodes, rencontrant une famille d’accueil et aidant à préparer un repas traditionnel. Baptiste se produit en solo de manière similaire pour les 10 autres épisodes.
Liliane Blanchard veut devenir actrice. L’élève de Casselman a fait un premier pas dans cette direction en tant que co-animatrice d’une émission de cui- sine sur un blog vidéo qui en est à sa deuxième saison. «J’ai toujours voulu participer à une émission, a déclaré Liliane Blanchard, 12 ans, lors d’un entretien téléphonique. Ma mère a vu l’appel pour le casting sur Face- book, et j’ai pensé que ce serait une bonne expérience.» Audrey Larzillière a lu une annonce selon laquelle TFO, la chaîne de télévision édu- cative francophone de l’Ontario, avait un appel de casting ouvert pour deux jeunes co-animateurs pour les Petites bouchées du monde . Le principe de l’émission, selon TFO, est «une découverte culinaire internationale», les deux jeunes co-animateurs explorant la mosaïque culturelle du Canada à travers les cuisines de personnes dont les héritages familiaux s’étendent à travers les Amériques, l’Europe, l’Asie, l’Afrique et l’Australie. Culture et cuisine TFO recherchait des co-animateurs âgés de 9 à 13 ans. Liliane a passé deux audi- tions dans le cadre du processus de casting. La première était juste elle-même devant la caméra. La seconde était avec Baptiste Charest, qui vit à Ottawa et qui est devenu son co-animateur. Tous deux jouent le rôle de voisins qui partent à la découverte de la culture et de la gastronomie de gens qui les invitent chez eux, pour leur faire goûter la cuisine typique de leur pays d’origine et partager quelques traditions et activités culturelles. Petites bouchées du monde est une émission culinaire destinée à un jeune public
«J’étais très enthousiaste à l’idée de faire cela, a déclaré Liliane. C’est vraiment amusant et j’aime beaucoup cuisiner.» Lumière ! Caméra ! Action ! «Le tournage a eu lieu dans la région d’Ottawa et ses environs. La partie cuisine de chaque épisode, a dit Liliane en riant, prenait parfois jusqu’à huit heures, y com- pris toutes les reprises de scènes que le réalisateur décidait de faire en fonction de l’éclairage, du son, du point de vue ou d’autres facteurs.» Le programme hebdomadaire plaçait Liliane ou Baptiste devant la caméra pour une journée entière de tournage dans la cuisine d’une famille hôte. Un deuxième jour, la même semaine, ils étaient ensemble pour le tournage du prologue et de l’épilogue de l’épisode. «Nous faisons beaucoup de blagues entre les épisodes», a dit Liliane en riant. Pendant la partie solo de leurs épisodes, Liliane et Baptiste ont découvert diverses traditions, activités et mots ou expressions propres à la culture de leurs hôtes. Mais l’une des meilleures parties de l’émission était de pouvoir goûter à la nourriture. «L’une de mes recettes préférées venait du Pérou, a déclaré Liliane. Le lomo saltado, un plat de bœuf. monde a terminé son tournage avant la fin de l’année dernière. Les épisodes ont commencé à être diffusés les samedis à midi et les dimanches à 18 heures sur TFO. Ils sont également disponibles en ligne sur https://www.tfo.org/fr/univers/ petites-bouchees-du-monde. «Au début, c’était un peu bizarre de me voir à la télévision et d’entendre ma voix, a déclaré Liliane, après avoir visionné quelques épisodes. Mais je pense que c’est une bonne émission.» Son rôle de co-animatrice des Petites bouchées du monde a valu à Liliane son adhésion à l’ACTRA, ce qui lui fait «du bien». TFO a également renouvelé la série pour une deuxième saison. Liliane peut donc s’attendre à recevoir un appel au printemps pour revenir à Ottawa pour d’autres aven- tures culinaires.
À la maison, Liliane fait sa part et cuisine pour la famille «quand j’en ai envie», a-t- elle dit en riant. «J’aime beaucoup cuisiner les gésiers. C’est facile et je peux en faire beaucoup de choses.» Maintenant qu’elle a une réelle expé- rience du travail devant une caméra, Liliane est encore plus déterminée à faire de la comédie son futur choix de carrière. «J’aimerais être un personnage (de film/ télévision) qui soit drôle», a-t-elle ajouté, notant qu’Adam Sandler est l’un de ses acteurs comiques préférés. Mais elle serait également prête à jouer un rôle plus dramatique. Quelque chose comme Enola Holmes, avec son actrice préférée Millie Bobby Brown. «Pour l’instant, mon rôle, c’est moi», a confié Liliane en riant.
