EMERGENCY RESPONSE CHECKLISTS

A. Checklists are developed as a way to assist the named individual in carrying out his or her specific duties and responsibilities in an emergency situation. The checklist in no way supersedes the larger responsibilities inherent in the office. Because of this some checklist items may need to be delegated to another person. B. Checklists are provided for the President, the Vice President of ASL/Provost, the Vice President of Operations, the Vice President of Business Affairs and Finance, the Vice President Public Affairs, the Chief of Staff, the Chief of Police, Associate Vice President for Campus Planning and Facilities Management, the Director of Housing, the Assistant Vice President of Information Technology, the Director of Environmental Health and Safety, the Director of Health and Counseling Center, and the Director of Human Resources. C. It is important to note that these individuals may fulfill both their normal administrative role and their ICS role simultaneously during an emergency operation. 1. Functionally these roles may be quite different. 2. One individual may handle numerous functions, depending on the size and complexity of the event.

D. The checklists are intended solely for guidance and should not be considered complete.
