CHECKLIST FOR THE CHIEF OF POLICE
q Dispatch police and other resources to scene.
q Secure the incident scene.
q Assume the position of Incident Commander, or assign the position.
q Establish a command post.
q Notify the President’s Office.
q Notify other members of the administration as appropriate
q Notify the Public Information Office.
q Notify KITTCOM
q Notify Ellensburg Police Department.
q Notify Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue.
q Notify local school district.
q Activate the Emergency Operations Center, if appropriate.
q Serve as liaison between the University administration and the Incident Commander and staff.
q If Incident Commander, refer to IC checklist in Appendix A: Direction and Control.
