Emmett Hossack Emmett Hossack’s whisky journey started when he made his first trip to Scotland in 1966. It wasn’t until 2002 that he began to seriously taste whisky. He is currently a member of whisky clubs in Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, and Scotland. His enthusiasm for whisky led him to start taking notes and assigning scores in 2011. He has tasted and scored over 3,000 different whiskies since then. He has also organized and led a number of Master Classes in person and virtually across Canada. Since the pandemic, he has served on the Ottawa Whisky Guild Planning Committee which has organized and delivered over 50 virtual Master Classes, with half of them featuring renowned presenters from Scotland, Canada, and the US. Emmett is passionate about whisky and the friendships it nourishes.
Johanne McInnis Freelance spirits writer, whisky panelist and judge with over 25 years experience as a public speaker. Armed with an educational background in distillation she regularly travels the world and presents master classes in the UK well as North America. Passionate, enthusiastic and entertaining; Johanne loves to share her stories, knowledge base and help others on their own spirits discovery journey.
